Betty Sue
Betty Sue is a nine-year-old senior who is still healthy and active but will always find time to rest her chin on your lap in hopes of a pat or two. She is learning to play with toys and other dogs, and seems to be tolerant of cats and kids. She is quickly learning manners and patience and is very affectionate to her humans. But her true love is a nice, big carrot. She will follow you to the refrigerator and gently nuzzle the crisper until you give her one (one of the big ones, of course) which she will devour within 30 seconds, her butt in the air and her tail wagging the whole time. She leaves no crumbs. Betty Sue takes daily thyroid medication.
Bikerboy
Bikerboy aka "Biker" is an incredibly kind hearted and non-aggressive dog and would be suitable as a pet for any family that could give him a loving home. His foster mom says that he is always easy to get along with and is quite mellow and really aims to please. He can be very playful and bouncy when really excited and is by no means either too timid nor rambunctious. He has been exposed numerous times to both dogs (small and large) and cats as well as young children. He loves walks and jogging if it's not too hot outside. Unlike many greyhounds, he actually loves water! He has been in ponds with water up to his belly and really seemed to enjoy it. He is great in the car, never gets sick and travels very comfortably and happily. Biker's foster mom thinks he would be a very good fit for any family as long as he gets minimal exercise and plenty of loving!
Nate (formerly Repo)
Littermates Valkyrie and Repo are big, beautiful, red fawn brindle males, 2-1/2 years old, who never raced. However, it's not for lack of energy! Both are very people-focused and want to interact with everyone they meet. Repo's encounters with cats at the boarding facility have all been benign. (Well, he got swatted on the nose once!) Small dog safety is not yet known. Valkyrie weighs 83 lbs., Repo a whopping 89, but they are lean and healthy boys. These guys need work on leash walking, and because they have never been in a house, they will need a crash course in home etiquette. These are personable hounds who are far more interested in social interactions with people than they are in toys, other dogs, each other, trees, etc., and with a little bit of civilization, they will make fabulous companions.
