2012 Have a Heart 'Grey'la fundraiser and silent auction

Preparations are underway for the fifth annual Have a Heart 'Grey'la, scheduled for Saturday, February 4, 2012, at the Zilker Clubhouse.
The 'Grey'la is one of GPA-CT's largest and most profitable fund raisers, so please mark your calendars now and stash away a little extra spending money for the silent auction. We'll have great wines and desserts to sample, wonderful music and, once again, that great view of Austin.
This year, we have something special for 'Grey'la attendees -- the debut of exclusive GPA-CT note cards with a custom illustration designed by local artist Cory Thoman, with printing (and idea!) donated by GPA-CT member John Francis and Universal Printing, Durham, N.C. You can buy these note cards before anyone else by attending the 'Grey'la! John has also had this wonderful illustration printed as a poster, which will be part of the silent auction. Bid early and often!
We'll also be selling raffle tickets at upcoming events for this year's fabulous raffle item -- a portrait sitting with Lara Gale from Angrybeezer Productions (up to two locations, all digital images with full copyright on personalized CD). Be sure and visit the Angrybeezer Productions website at angrybeezerproductions.com to see Lara's beautiful work. You can buy raffle tickets at upcoming GPA-CT Meet & Greets and other events in December and January.
*Raffle tickets may be purchased for $5 each at any GPA-CT Meet & Greet in December and January, by emailing Donna Seago at heart4houndz@gmail.com, or at the Have a Heart 'Grey'la (while supplies last). Only 250 raffle tickets will be sold!
Our fund raising goal for the Have a Heart 'Grey'la this year is $10,000, so we're going to need everyone's support, financial and otherwise!
GPA-CT is inviting interested friends, family and community members to attend and to help raise funds to support GPA-CT's mission to find forever homes for retired racing greyhounds.
GPA-CT needs your help to make this a hugely successful fundraiser. Volunteers are needed in the following areas and for the following tasks on the day of the event. If you can volunteer to help with any of these tasks (or if you have questions), please contact Have a Heart 'Grey'la coordinator Donna Seago at heart4houndz@gmail.com.
Hosting Committee: Greet guests upon arrival; pour wine; stock dessert trays; remind guests about bidding on silent auctions
Set-Up, Break-Down and Clean-Up: Set-up tables, chairs, decorations; put out food, drinks; break down tables, chairs; clean up facility.
